Annual Fees Per Student
Building reserve: $250 per family
Technology/Book/Activity Fee: $250 per student (K-8)
Supplies Fee: $100 (Preschool)
Activity Fee: $30 (Preschool)
Sibling Discounts
Families with a second child enrolled receive a 10% discount off the tuition of the younger child. Families with 3 or more children enrolled receive a 30% discount on the tuition of additional siblings.
Payment plans
Kazoo School allows tuition to be paid prior to the school year, in 10 monthly installments or 4 quarterly installments. Tuition payments must be made by check, cash, or through ACH/automatic cash account debit. There is a $200 processing fee to pay quarterly, $250 processing fee to pay monthly.
Other Expectations
Families are also expected to contribute their time toward helping with special events, field trips, school projects, recess monitoring and small fundraisers.

At Kazoo School, we believe that families with diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds enrich our entire community. Our Board of Trustees is committed to making a Kazoo education accessible by providing need-based financial assistance to qualified families. More than a quarter of Kazoo families receive assistance, with awards ranging from a few hundred to several thousand dollars based on demonstrated financial need and available funds.
Applying for Financial Aid
Kazoo School uses Clarity Financial Aid to help determine a family's financial need. The streamlined, mobile-friendly application typically takes about 30 minutes to complete and is available in Spanish.
Clarity evaluates information about household income, assets, expenses, and debts. U.S. taxpayers can securely authorize the transfer of their 2025 tax documents directly from the IRS, eliminating the need to upload those documents manually.
Applications are due December 1. Completing your application by this deadline allows us to determine financial aid awards in time for enrollment agreements in January, so families receive one agreement rather than two.
How to Apply
Start your application. Visit Clarity Financial Aid and create an account.
Select Kazoo School. Add Kazoo School to your student applicant entry. You can save your progress and return to the application at any time.
Complete tax verification, if applicable. U.S. taxpayers will be prompted to authorize the secure release of tax transcripts and verify their identity. Families who completed this process last year generally will not need to repeat it. Clarity offers both a Clarity verification option and an IRS option; the Tax Verification Guide explains the process. Having an IRS.gov account before starting may make verification easier, and the IRS verification pathway can transfer documents to Clarity within 24 hours.
