Extended Day Programming
The Extended Day program at Kazoo School offers a variety of learning opportunities before and after the formal school day. The morning begins at 7:30 am and the day ends at 6:00 pm. If you need care earlier than 7:30 am (but not earlier than 7:00 am) or later than 6:00 pm (but not later than 6:30 pm), please make arrangements with the office for an additional fee. A snack is served everyday from 3:15 – 3:30 pm to Extended Day participants. The program runs on all full school days.
The goals of the Extended Day Program are:
To provide a safe environment for children to engage in interesting enrichment classes.
To enhance children’s physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and creative development.
To recognize and encourage individual interest and talents.
Our program uses our three-acre campus and classrooms, including the playground and adjacent 50-acre Kleinstuck Preserve. In addition to our daily enrichment classes, we offer older students a designated homework room. The Kazoo School playground includes a large game playing field, playground equipment, sandbox, gaga pit and basketball court. Kleinstuck Preserve offers nature trails for hiking and nature activities.
