¡Hola! I’m Viviana Plaza. I was born in Puerto Rico and have been teaching Spanish for more than 20 years. I’m so excited to join the Kazoo School community as your Spanish teacher!

One of the things I love most about teaching is getting to know what students are excited to learn. I want to know whether a student wants to become more confident speaking Spanish, improve their reading, learn new vocabulary, or simply have fun exploring another language and culture. I believe language learning should be meaningful, engaging, and connected to the interests of each student.

And who knows? Maybe one day I’ll be able to talk to you all in Spanish! ¡Bienvenidos a mi clase de español!

Outside of school, I’m a proud mom of two sons and a grandmother to two wonderful grandchildren. I’m looking forward to getting to know the students and families at Kazoo and sharing my love of Spanish with our community.
