An Independent Kalamazoo School for Preschool through 8th Grade
Play is the leading source of development in the prekindergarten years. It promotes social learning; it supports emotional growth; it supports cognitive development; it facilitates physical and sensorimotor development.
Children now become social beings in their own right. Participating in the bigger world is a big part of what this period of childhood is all about. They discover the rules for social conduct, and they have a drive to discover, invent, create, and explore.
Middle School is a special time in a student’s life, filled with developmental changes and new academic challenges. We focus on individual students, their needs, and finding ways to encourage their academic as well as social growth.
After graduating from Kazoo School, students are able to hold a conversation in Spanish, exercise leadership in a project or services to others, and so much more!
Take a Tour!
Schools are so much more than brick and mortar. While open houses can show you the things that are in a school, visiting a school is a wonderful opportunity to see how teachers and children interact.
